Event companies make up a large part of GCS’s customer base and for good reason:

It just is more cost effective to use reusable candles than disposable ones.

Although there are other alternatives to table lighting it seems that candles are here to stay.

From the dawn of time, people were and continue to enjoy watching a flame burn.

What better way to do that with a beautiful, hand blown ‘container’ such as a reusable glass candle as a fuel source.

Despite the small percentage of breakages that do occur with having glass candles, the business model continues to suggest and prove (i.e. See ‘SAVINGS CALCULATOR’) that owning glass candles is worth it.

Whether a wick goes missing or a customer requires an additional ‘squidgy bottle’ to use for filling up the glass candles, orders can be placed online with quick turnaround times.

GCS encourages customers to use GCS oil as inferior oil may damage the type of wicks used in the glass candles.

Traditional weddings favour the tall, silver- or nickel-plated candelabra that usually stands +- 70 cm high.

GCS offers a number of glass candles that suit this setting and found that the TEARSHAPES, CYLINDRICALS, MEDIUM ROUND CORKED, TAPERS and PEARSHAPE CORKED types prove to be the most popular.
In recent years, crystal- based candelabras became more fashionable; 5 ARMED or even the 9-armed types that were between 70 cm and 90 cm in height.

As he height of a candelabra increases the proportional size of the glass candle needs to be increased as well.

In this regard, customers would choose GCS’s TAPERS 24 CM high as well as LARGE ROUND CORKED GLASS CANDLE.

Owing to the tight economic conditions SA currently experiences, customers needed to find ways to use candles without blowing their budget.

Whilst still wanting glass candles, customers dispensed with the high candelabras and found more creative ways of making a centrepiece for the wedding table.

GCS then decided to meet this new demand by developing other glass candles that could still ‘stand high’ and be noticed but at a fraction of the cost.

By removing the candelabra as the central piece, GCS manufactured TULIPS and LOLLIPOPS that could now stand high in a vase.

Even though these products could still be used as candles; by producing a flame, they still looked great without combustion.

Customers still took the oil as the oil could be coloured to create an even better affect for the product; the oil moving all the way down the stem.

Other more cost-affective ways of using GCS’s glass candles as a centre piece is by taking a MIRROR TRAY and placing various type glass candles such as TEALIGHTS, PEARSHAPES, ROUNDS on them; the lit candles reflecting off the mirror to produce a beautiful affect.
